Calton Hill is situated in the centre of Edinburgh and can be easily reached from the eastern part of Princes Street. It is a great place to walk and admire the panorama of Edinburgh as the views from the hill are really amazing. There are benches so you can sit down and have your lunch, read a book or just admire the beauty of the city. The hill includes few monuments and buildings like the National Monument, the Nelson Monument, the Dugald stewart Monument, the Old Royal High School, the Robert Burns Monument, the Political Martyrs' Monument and the City Observatory.
